Most of my writing draws on my experience on the business end of, well, business. Prior to writing I was a product manager for a leading mobile software company and also handled technology and marketing for a large regional commercial general contractor. Now I cover biz and tech -- particularly small business -- and counterbalance these topics with arts, entertainment, upscale lifestyle and travel writing. I am particularly interested in the intersection of business, technology and culture. I've interviewed tons of entrepreneurs and covered unconventional workplaces, America's first for-profit zero-gravity plane flights, the reward and complexities of transitioning ownership through ESOPs and the hi-tech restoration of James Madison's Montpelier. You may have seen my work in such publications as Inc., Entrepreneur, Robb Report Worth, The Washington Post and Men's Journal. You can browse through some of my clips by clicking here.
I'm a member of the National Writers Association, the Authors Guild, and the Society of American Business Editors and Writers. I am also on the board of directors for James River Writers.
